All groups are now meeting via ZoomDue to Covid 19 and all the restrictions that are in place, we have moved all our groups over to Zoom. Groups are still meeting face to face but in a virtual format. We have increased our capacity and added more groups. so we can now offer a wide selection of different days and times. If you are interested in getting help or would like more information about OCD or phobia recovery, then please complete an application form. Application Form
TOP UK runs a network of supported self-help groups for anyone who has a phobia, OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) or a similar related anxiety disorder. Our groups are open to anyone, aged 16 or above and you do not need to have seen a doctor or have a formal diagnosis to attend one of our groups.
All our self-help groups meet once a week and are run by trained volunteers, many of whom have overcome a phobia or OCD themselves. Our groups use an evidence based, self help method, which is based on the Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles of exposure and the work of Professor IM Marks. We know that sometimes, there can be long waiting lists for therapy on the NHS but you should be able to access one of our TOP UK groups immediately.
Anyone who wishes to attend a group will need to complete an application form, none of our groups (with the exception of Jersey) are drop in. There is also a small weekly charge to attend a group with a reduction for those on low incomes. TOP UK does not receive any government funding and we rely on donations and grants to continue our valuable work.
If you want to know how TOP UK has helped others to get better, have a look on our Recovery Page. There are some inspirational stories from sufferers who have overcome their fears and have gone on to make good recoveries.

It would be helpful if you could read chapters 11 & 12 of ‘Living with Fear’ by Professor Marks before joining one of our groups.
